Dutch and German innovations for a better circular economy.

Dutch and German innovations for a better circular economy.

The Aedes Metropolitan Laboratory (ANCB) has developed the ALL GOOD(S) programme in collaboration with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Berlin. As part of ALL GOOD(S), the Circular Fashion event will take place via livestream on the 1st of October. The role of the use of innovative design principles and new materials in the fashion industry will be discussed. It complements the Circular Design workshop, which already took place online in May and June.

The ALL GOOD(S) programme consists of several meetings where Dutch and German innovations in the field of new material development will be discussed – taking into account raw materials, techniques and applications to enable a sustainable and circular economy in the future. The programme supports the exchange of knowledge and new interdisciplinary links between Dutch and German actors.

In both the Netherlands and Germany, the transition to a circular economy is attracting increasing political and social attention. In the Netherlands, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management (I&W) recently presented its new policy programme for circular textiles. At the same time, the German Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) published its final report on its resource efficiency programme (ProgRess) and has just revised its Recycling Act.

At the Circular Fashion event, political decision-makers will exchange their thoughts and experiences with representatives of the industry to find out together where recycling management policy could achieve the transition to a "new textile economy".

Everybody is invited to take part in the event virtually and free of charge.
