Hommage to Gianni Versace

A unique exhibition in honor of Gianni Versace will open its doors at the trade show “SHOW & ORDER”.

On the 20th anniversary of death of the fashion designer Gianni Versace the Premium Group shows together with the Brazilian private collector Alexandre Stefani 26 selected looks from his 500-part curated Versace collection at the "SHOW & ORDER" Kraftwerk Berlin. Fascinated by the uniqueness of the fashion creator, Stefani has been collecting pieces from Versace for over 25 years and has one of the largest collections worldwide.

On 15 July 2017 the death of Gianni Versace marks the 20th anniversary. His empire still belongs to the most successful fashion houses in the world. His work is associated with extravagant designs, opulent prints as well as luxurious materials. As one of the most renowned designers, he created fashion for friends and stars like Naomi Campbell, Sting and Michael Jackson in the eighties and nineties. When the talent was tragically murdered in July 1997, the fashion world was shocked but his work and his legendary designs remain forever in memory and is still encouraging young designers today, to create extravagant creations.

The place for the unique presentation of Stefani's personally curated collection is not chosen by chance. As an avant-garde metropol, Berlin not only offers the perfect exchange between art, fashion and culture, the German capital also has a special meaning for the beginnings of Versace's design career. When the he was still a young, unknown designer in 1978, the German fashion czar Albert Eickhoff organized the first Versace show in Lippstadt. 1994 followed Versace's first exhibition at the Kunstgewerbemuseum in Berlin, which he wanted to open personally because of his special relationship to Germany.
