Facts & Figures Berlin Fashion Week

Facts and figures about the Berlin Fashion Week and the Hotspot Berlin

The Berlin Fashion Week will again be held in the German capital from 17 to 20 January 2017.Buyers, press representatives and trade visitors are expected to look at the current collections for autumn / winter 2017 within up to 10 trade fairs and trade fair formats within four days.

Already in the successful summer season in June 2016, 200,000 trade visitors attended the 150 events and more than 70 fashion shows. Berlin has established itself in only a few seasons and is one of the top five fashion destinations worldwide.

In addition to already established platforms such as the fashion fairs Panorama, Premium Exhibitions, Show & Order, Bright and Seek, the Greenshowroom and the Ethical Fashion Show, the Selvedge Run, the Berliner Mode Salon and the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin, there are always new concepts that round off the high-quality program of the Berlin Fashion Week.

Berlin is evolving steadily and makes niches into relevant markets. Green fashion and upcycling are gaining in importance: more and more Berlin model sets - including Schmidttakahashi, Ica Watermelon and Ewa Herzog and many more. - take into account ecological standards in production. The GreenShowroom and the Ethical Fashion Show, as well as the major trade fairs, show numerous brands of the eco portfolio.

In Berlin, creativity meets technology - at the Berlin Fashion Week, innovative wearables are presented and established at FashionTech. The IDZ Berlin (International Design Center) or platforms like Sourcebook offer numerous services for labels. They organize presentations on the ground and abroad, convey production know-how as well as contacts, thus facilitating fashion companies the steps towards more growth and the conquest of new markets.
